Hypnotherapy

I practice both clinical hypnosis and regression hypnosis, and have found both to be significantly supportive in facilitating the transformation of our challenges into resource. Anything that makes the unconscious conscious offers us the chance to access wisdom, resource, nervous system settling, and brain plasticity in a way that can have a profound impact on the way we encounter the world and relationships. My particular practice is more evocative than directive, trusting in the knowledge of the unconscious to provide the most appropriate resource for the issue you are bringing. However, if you are interested in more directive hypnosis for particular issues like smoking, we can use direct suggestion as well.

During any type of hypnosis, you are in charge. The ability to enter hypnotic states, where the implicit memory is accessed and brain neuropathways are plastic, is a natural skill that the brain already has and which is accessed regulalry in normal life (during driving, for example, or after trauma). Accessing hypnotic states intentionally is a skill that anyone can develop, and that most people have some ability for already, similar to the way that we all have some level of musical ability that can be developed. As part of developing that skill, you are aware, autonomous, and maintain full choice at all times, even when you choose to enter a trance state. I am simply the facilitator.

Clinical hypnosis can be done in a traditional psychotherapy session, and regression hypnosis requires a longer session outside of the traditional psychotherapy hour, and outside of insurance reimbursement.
